I have always been inspired by nature - finding beauty in the amazing details. I studied illustration at Syracuse University where I was exposed to the French painting technique trompe l'oeil or deceive the eye. I love looking for the detail in the most mundane objects and bringing them to life. After many years in the advertising world as an art director and designer, I started painting in oils. Fifteen years later, I have shown in numerous group shows in Bedford, NY, Windham, NY, and Salisbury, CT. My traditional still life paintings have recently evolved into large graphic still life paintings depicting nature up close and personal.
